Which WDR works were used in each exhibition?
Very cool, Andrew. We are in DC occasionally to visit my brother & his family so we'll definitely try to find your grandfather's collections next time. The only reference I could find through a brief Google search was the National Postal Museum, though. Any idea if there are other Smithsonian museums that show his work?
ReplyDeleteAsh! Haha great to hear from you! Go LHS :) That's a very kind offer. I think the Smithsonian has (or had) that Linocut "Woodcutters." As far as I know it's his only work picked up by the Smithsonian. I believe it was a traveling exhibit, not sure if it's even in their perminent collection. I believe museums like that only show 1% of thier inventory anyway. AWESOME to hear from you though. Thx.
